For more than forty years, Barry Trewin has lived that journey as a working Australian musician.

From the pub rock circuits of regional Victoria and Gippsland to stages across Australia, Thailand and Papua New Guinea, Barry has experienced the full reality of life as a professional guitarist, vocalist, songwriter and musical director. He has performed for packed rooms and intimate crowds, shared stages with respected Australian artists, mentored emerging musicians and watched the industry transform from vinyl and cassette through to streaming platforms and social media.

That lived experience is the foundation of FizikalReck — Barry’s ongoing project as a songwriter and recording artist. Through FizikalReck he continues to write, record and release original music rooted in honesty, storytelling and the Australian working musician tradition. Albums such as Thunder Mile, Major Look, Good Times and After the Fire draw on decades of observation, resilience and real life experience.
